Raised in Monmouth County, New Jersey, Emalie Lasko discovered her passion for photography while attending community college. She went on to minor in photography while earning her bachelor's degree and was awarded the Coe Library Purchase Award for her piece, Big Head, at the 48th Annual UW Juried Art Exhibit.
